![]() ![]() In my case, I uninstalled Geforce 9400M driver inside device manager and uninstalled the corresponding drivers from "uninstall program" window as well. Update windows to Windows 10 Build 1607 (latest build), make sure you uninstall all Nvidia drivers from device manager before restarting. Windows update will likely install incompatible display driver (not sure if its is intentional act from Apple or Nvidia)Ĭreate a Windows 10 Install Disk, put it in the DVD drive, start computer, press Shift+ C or hold onto windows/option key (the latter may not always work) ![]() Older iMac does not support installing from USB, must find a legacy computer with DVD burner and create a Windows 10 install diskįor newer Mac, installing Windows 10 in the BIOS or BIOS emulation mode instead of EFI will have much higher chance of working ![]() Windows 10 is unsupported via bootcamp and I don't need bootcamp and MacOS taking up space on the SSD anyways. Windows 10 is a good choice for business use case and instead of buying a new All-in-One machine, I decided to upgrade the iMac with SSD and install Windows on it instead. Motivation: 24" iMac running macOS with the old hard drive runs way too slow. These instruction will probably likely with other Macs as well. This process took me a while to perfect and get it to work perfectly, so I will share this with others.
